All villages in XiauLiuQiu are fishing villages. ShenFu community has the only fishing port on the island, the ShenFu fishing port, the home for many small fishing boats and plastic pipe rafts, which seasonally perform longline and dip line fishing for fish species, such as scad, ribbon fish, king mackerel, big-eye sea bream, etc. The community has been promoting the concept of environmental friendliness for more than a decade, deep into every corner of the community, even the entrances of local hostels have the symbols of retired boats and floats, and seashells and fishing floats are used in the landscapes of their courtyards for creating a maritime ambience.
