The south area of Wushih Fish Harbor is the operating area of traditional fishing boats, where the north area is the operating area of recreational vessels that provide whale watching and tours to Guaishan Island. The sea around Wushih Fish Harbor has the Japan’s Kuroshio that provides rich fishery resources.

Many fishing fans come to Wushih Fish Harbor to either rent boats to sail out or fish on the dikes. At present, Wushih Port has Taiwan’s first “fishing platform” that allows legal fishing on the exterior dike in ease and comfort and is the ideal fishing site.
