Conclusion
To ensure sustainable development of fisheries, the government will continue to participate in the work of international fisheries cooperation, and maintain a modern distant water fishing fleet which operates in compliance with international norms and rules, and it will continue to stride for the promotion of the conservation of the marine ecosystem in the coastal and offshore areas, with a view of safeguarding the sustainable utilization of fisheries resources. The structure of Taiwan ‘s aquaculture will be adjusted, making it an industry in harmony with both the environment and the ecosystem, while fulfilling the visions of “sanitary and healthy fisheries”, “science leading excellent fishery”, and “comfortable recreational and leisure fishery”, with an aim to increasing the income of fishermen, and improving the well-being of the entire nation.
