Taiwan’s Marine Protected Areas- Sustainable use of marine ecological resources, and proper preservation of designated natural marine sceneries, and cultural heritages.
- Protect the marine ecosystem and marine biological diversity, while looking after the social economic need of the coastal communities.
- Establishment of MPA networks, to increase the benefit of MPAs.
- Establishment of proper legal framework, and have MPAs included in a higher level of policy and integrated management in the framework of marine spatial planning.
