This is the start of the period when the countryside is sparkling green with plant life. Even the waterside, which is typically a yellowish brown palette begins to show shoots and buds of the common reed upon closer inspection. In olden times, these reeds were used to make blinds, roof thatch, paper, musical instruments, and more. It was an essential plant that supported people's daily lives all over the world.
